Why we exist

Walk through Kolhapur, Sangli or Satara in June and you will meet the same person over and over: a B.Pharm or B.Sc graduate, two years out, working retail counter shifts or preparing for a government exam for the third time. The degree was expensive. The local job market for it is thin.

Meanwhile, a few hundred kilometres away in Pune and Mumbai, healthcare companies are hiring medical coders in batches of fifty at a time and struggling to fill the seats. The work needs exactly the knowledge those graduates already have — anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology — plus a coding certification that takes about three months to earn.

MedWise closes that gap. We are not a general computer training centre that added a medical coding class to the list. Medical coding is the only subject we teach, the only thing our faculty do, and the only industry our placement contacts sit in.

How we teach

The single biggest difference between an institute that produces certified coders and one that produces certificates is whether students ever touch real documentation. Textbook cases are tidy: one diagnosis, one procedure, no contradictions. Actual clinical notes are dictated at speed by a tired surgeon, contain three procedures where two are bundled, and leave out the one detail you need.

Our students code real, de-identified charts from the first week — operative reports, radiology reads, progress notes, emergency department encounters. By the time they sit for the CPC or CCS exam, an ugly chart is a normal Tuesday rather than a shock.

Batches are capped at twenty. That is not a marketing number; it is the largest group in which one trainer can still check every student's code assignment in a session and catch the reasoning error behind a wrong answer. Above that, students at the back go quiet and stay quiet.

What happens after the certificate

Placement is where most institutes quietly stop caring. We treat it as the actual deliverable. Resume drafting, mock interviews, aptitude practice and direct referrals to recruiters at Omega Healthcare, Vee Healthtek, IKS Health, GeBBS and the other major coding employers are all part of the programme, not an add-on.

And it does not expire. If you complete the training and clear your certification but the first three interviews do not convert, you stay on our list and we keep sending you forward. That is what our 100% placement guarantee actually means in practice.

What we hold ourselves to

Four commitments we would rather be judged against than a slogan.

We will tell you if this is not for you

Medical coding suits some people and bores others to tears. If your background or temperament points elsewhere, we say so on the first call rather than taking a fee. A student who drops out in week three helps nobody.

The fee we quote is the fee you pay

The number we give you includes everything we control, and we tell you separately and exactly what the AAPC or AHIMA exam voucher costs. No surprise "study material charges" appear in month two.

Your trainer is a practising coder

Coding guidelines change every year. Someone who last coded in 2019 will teach you 2019. Our faculty work in live production and bring the current year's CPT and ICD-10-CM changes into the classroom the quarter they land.

We do not inflate salary numbers

Fresher trainee coders in Maharashtra start around ₹18,000–₹25,000 a month. We say that plainly, on the website and in the first call, because a student who joins on a false number leaves angry.

Students from four districts, one classroom

Rajarampuri sits at a convenient point on the Kolhapur–Sangli–Belgaum triangle, which is why our batches are rarely made up of Kolhapur students alone.
